Why Participate?

If your current medical treatment is not good enough, you can help! New medical products undergo extensive testing before the FDA lets them go to market, and this means we need participants. Do not worry, this is not clinical testing. In addition to helping advance medicine, studies are an interesting way to see and try new products to provide feedback for work-in-progress devices. And of course, you receive compensation for your time.

What to Expect

Every study is a little different. You will coordinate your schedule with the recruiter beforehand and you will be expected to arrive at a specified location at your session time, where you will use the new product with or without instruction.

Is it safe?

The worst risks for most studies are little more than frustration or an accidental needle prick from an unused medical needle.

Will I be surprised?

Some questions can only be answered by fresh eyes, but you will be informed about the study as much as possible before sign up.

Will I be testing drug?

Study products usually have placebo (such as sugar or soap water) instead of drug, and you will not be asked to put it in your body.

What if I contact drug?

If you happen to be unintentionally exposed to either drug or placebo the study will be stopped to address it.

Where does my data go?

Your session will be recorded, but will only be used for the purposes of the study and will not be sold to other parties.

How long is it?

Study durations are usually only 1 to 2 hours, but may be longer or shorter, and you may need to come back for multiple days.

Can I stop early?

If you need to stop early you are free to do so at any time without losing your compensation for the time you were there.

How am I compensated?

Compensation will be given through the recruiter you coordinated with. Please contact them if you have not received payment.
